Cervical Cancer Videos

Every year 3,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer, with around 1,000 women dying from the disease. It is the most common cancer in women under 35 in the UK. It’s vital that we spread awareness of this disease, both to prevent it through the national screening programme, but also to look out for the warning signs. The earlier cervical cancer is spotted the better.

What are the symptoms?

Marianne Wood (Colposcopy Clinical Nurse Specialist): Its important to remember that cervical cancer is often symptomless and that’s why it’s so important to attend for your cervical screening tests.

• Bleeding during and after intercourse
• Bleeding between the periods
